Photograph Memory check
Would we use a large or a
small aperture to achieve a shallow depth of field? It would be a Large depth of view
When would we use the ‘S’ control setting one the
camera mode dial meaning S for speed of the shutter
What do we do to make the camera achieve focus? lightly press the camera shutter button although not enough for it to take a photo and it will focus. Push half way and then apply the last bit of pressure
Name three items needed when producing a seamless
background lighting set-up white sheets of paper pined up to three
When focusing the camera,
what do we place on the object/subject to ensure it is the centre of focus?
lighting /light stands
What must we do when we
finish using the light to ensure it doesn't get broken?Let the light bulb cool down Otherwise it could break when its cooling down
this was the work done in Week 1 with photography Showing how the camera witch we would be using
Week 2
This was the final Product although
the quality had to be lowered due to format changes in the images although what
I had done to edit this was had a blue ranger in the exact same place as the
red ranger is then I used Photoshop to get rid of any of the blue ranger that wasn’t
needed using the lasso tool to get rid of all the image than the arm that is on
the red action figure. Using the magic wand tool at first then using the lasso
tool to make it look sharper than I did before making sure that if it was
zoomed into it would look a lot more real than looking like it was just un
realistic.
Proposal: Planning
for the Photography I will be doing for this project has to be based
around the slogan freak or unique fitting the brief by using action
figures of some kind on a white screen doing the almost like cat walk
back ground with only the figures their self to grab the viewers’
attention onto the image that has been edited with in Photoshop. This will have
an action man or a power ranger in front of the white back ground this is
to get well taken images while being able to edit the photo without too much
background interruption with this making it easier to be able to focus all the
editing on the power ranger himself. Although I would like to have the power
ranger to symbolize the sign for power, energy and health as power rangers are known
for being powerful. As the product it was advertising was an Energy drink it
helped support that in the way it will affect the consumers in the same way.
Using a Lunix camera to make sure that I can get a high quality photo graph
although I will be making sure I’ll use a white screen for a clean edit.
Although another idea is to use more than one action figure to use loads of different
action figures to attempt to show the use of energy to be able to almost
signify what the product does its self(energy drink)Extreme the drink witch
will be edit into the top or top left of the images will be taken.
Seamless
back ground (White screen) also once the images have been captured then while
in Photoshop editing the pictures that will be to change the levels on the
photo balancing out any colour issues will be balanced properly and epically making
sure the black input isn’t to high otherwise the picture may be had to see if
not balanced properly. So making sure this is done properly is important also
what comes with using levels is using something called Curves witch will alter
certain colours and gives a way to be able to alter certain colours all at once
such as RGB (Red ,Green and Blue) altering only them colours and tones making
them lighter or darker through adjusting a graph were on it will be a graph
like scale where you can move two markers either way to change the colours on
screen. This will be very helpful for the images once they have been taken.
First of we was handed our brief the brief was called “Freak
or Unique’’ witch meant we was to follow this very closely throughout the hole
of this project this was researched and put to practice throughout this project
(witch was a six week period) although before we started researching we had
been taught how to use the Lumix camera we would use and how it works different
from a standard compact camera and as to why the Lumix was a lot more helpful
for making professional shots as you can alter the :Shutter speed, complex
manual settings, aperture setting and Programme settings. Freak
or unique Blog showing all the inspiration
When
we was given the brief I just broke it up into two bits Freak and Unique I sided
more with the unique side of it rather than the freak side of the creative
siding with one of the word rather than both although I incorporated the freak
part into the other half of the project to make it slightly more one sided with
both the videos. Freak or unique Photography to me was interpreted as being
unusual photography often based around rear or un seen things in normal day to
day life, something altered or normally not seen by the naked eye. Once broken
down Freak meaning almost sinister and Unique meaning something out of the usual.
When
I Known what I was doing still had to get to get all :Locations, times props and
models
Locations:
Class room with free space(with good lighting)(and on a table).
Times: During
class 11.30 am on the 02/10/2015
Props:
Action figures: Power ranger action figure red, Power ranger action figure blue
(of the same height )
Models
: The action figures them self's will model the product with an edit (Photoshop
editing software)
This was one of the first edits done although once I had
this one I was not completely happy with it as it didn’t give much room for the
logo to go in with it covering a large portion of the screen and basically stopping
the logo from being able to be in the front of the picture.
I would do a lot different I would like to have more ruff copies
of the thing that a created because it would have gave me more options on what I
would have had to have done Possibly had a better finishing product.
Although I have learned a lot through my first assignment
one of the many things is that everything has added up to something and made an
impact on the final product.
The final product does feel it has met the assignment brief
as it has been edited nicely and was a lot of time spent making sure it looks
good and the shot with just a little bit of shadow to keep some form of natural
light.
