Making Ghostly images Owen

Making Ghostly Images

Today in the lesson we learnt how to make images look as if they have a ghost in them on photo shop we did this by using lots of different tools in Photoshop to blend two separate photos into one image. We started of by getting a background and then finding the Ghostly image to add to it ,We did this on a A4 sheet portrait and this was of a subway hallway and a old man walking down stairs.

I did this by having the background as the bottom layer with the old man on a separate layer on top then using the Lasso tool to cut around him and get rid of any background currently on the top layer (Old man image) did this by making sure to keep a steady hand the hole time to prevent cutting out bit of the photo out as it would ruin the realism of the edit. Once steadily cut out making sure it fit into the background correctly was important size, placement and lighting witch all factors were made to fit through re-sizing,blurring and steady cutting.
The way I re-sized it is by pressing Ctrl + T to change the size of the images although when stretching the images holding shift will prevent it from losing quality while being expanded.

Image result for old man with walking stick
The old man witch was edited in

When I changed the man from a normal man to a Ghost I did this through lowering the level
of opticy
